How we work

A proven structure, not a cheaper freelancer.

We are fast and cost-effective because the first draft is produced by a platform we own and operate. The quality holds because people edit every segment and an independent back-translation proves it. The same five steps run on every job.

The five steps

From your files to your client, in order.

  1. 01

    Intake & scoping

Files, reference material and any glossary arrive through the portal, by email or from your TMS. Scope, word counts and deadline are confirmed within the hour.

    Output

    Firm quote and delivery time

  2. 02

AI first pass on our platform

Domain-tuned machine translation and large language models draft the job with your translation memory and terminology as context. This is what makes us fast and cost-effective.

    Output

Draft with TM leverage and locked terminology

  3. 03

    Human linguist editing

A native, in-country linguist edits every segment against the source. For TEP jobs a second linguist reviews the edited text independently.

    Output

    Edited translation, error log

  4. 04

    Back-translation check

An independent linguist translates a sample, or the full text for sensitive content, back into the source language. Discrepancies are flagged, discussed and fixed before delivery.

    Output

    Back-translation report you can share

  5. 05

    Automated QA & delivery

Tags, numbers, placeholders, consistency and terminology are checked automatically. Files go back in the original format with a QA report attached.

    Output

Delivery in your format + QA report

Choose the level per job

Two production levels, one quality bar.

You pick per job on the order form or in the API. Both levels get automated QA and delivery in your format; the difference is how many linguists touch the text.

AI-assisted + human post-editing

Our platform drafts, one native linguist edits every segment against the source, automated QA runs before delivery. The economy level for high-volume, low-risk content: manuals, support content, catalogs, internal documents.

Translation + independent review (TEP)

Same AI-assisted draft, then two linguists: one edits, a second reviews the edited text independently. For anything your client will publish, file or sign: marketing, legal, medical, government.

Back-translation check

Included in TEP on a representative sample, or on the full text on request. An independent linguist who has not seen the source translates the target back; discrepancies are logged, resolved and reported. Your client reads the report in their own language.

Automated QA on every job

Tags and placeholders, numbers and dates, terminology against the glossary, consistency across the TM, length limits for subtitles and UI strings. Failures block delivery until a linguist clears them.

Measured, not asserted

The platform reports its own numbers.

Words processed, language pairs, audio hours and the automated QA pass rate are read live from the production system shared across the Flix Translations Group. They are the same figures our account managers see.

Questions we get asked first

Straight answers.

Is this machine translation?
The first draft is. The delivery is not: every segment is edited by a native linguist, TEP jobs get an independent second review, and sensitive content is back-translated. You choose the level per job.
Do you publish prices?
No. Businesses get a firm quote within the hour of sending files; agencies receive a wholesale rate sheet by language tier on request. Both are simple, and neither changes without notice.
Are your certified translations accepted by USCIS and the courts?
Yes. Every certified translation ships with a signed certificate of accuracy that meets USCIS requirements and is routinely accepted by Florida courts and agencies.
Which file formats do you return?
The one you send. Office, PDF, InDesign, XML/JSON/strings, subtitle formats, CAT packages (Trados, memoQ, Phrase, XTM, Smartcat) and plain text. Tags and structure are checked automatically before delivery.
What about confidentiality and data?
NDA on request, ISO 17100-aligned workflow, client data never used to train external models, retention set per client and deletion on request. Data stays on our own infrastructure.
Do you offer on-site interpreting?
No. We keep interpreting remote (OPI and VRI) so it is available 24/7 in 100+ languages and billed by the minute.
How fast is standard turnaround?
Up to 2,000 words in 24 business hours; 2,000 to 10,000 words in two to four business days; larger volumes on an agreed schedule. Same-day rush is available on standard documents.
